The Old Mains beat is a privately owned easily accessible beat located in the Upper Nithsdale catchment and set among some of the most picturesque scenery in the Nith Valley.

This is one of the only beats which can offer both fishing and accommodation. The owners have provided two self-catering cottages which caters for all the basic needs when fishing.
